MEET OUR ATTORNEY
ANDRÉA SIMMONS ESQ., LL.M
CEO/MANAGING ATTORNEY
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Andréa Simmons grew up with a deep passion for learning, even though education wasn't a primary focus in her family. From a young age, she envisioned herself either as an attorney or a nurse, but by the time she reached middle school, her heart was set on pursuing a career in law. Despite the challenges of being a young mother, Andréa was determined to succeed. She began her studies at Wayne State University and later transferred to Oakland Community College, where she earned her Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts.

After a decade dedicated to raising her four children, Andréa returned to school, earning her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah. With renewed focus, she moved her family to San Diego, California, where she achieved her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Throughout this journey, Andréa’s resilience and commitment to her goals have been unwavering.

During law school, Andréa discovered her passion for Intellectual Property (IP) Law. As a Certified Limited Practitioner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), she worked in the Trademark Center at her law school, helping small businesses protect their valuable intellectual property. She also served as President of the Entertainment Law Society, further fueling her interest in IP and entertainment law.
Andréa’s dedication to education didn’t stop there. She went on to earn her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in International Business Law from Steinbeis School of International Business and Entrepreneurship, writing her thesis on "Concerns Facing Global Intellectual Property of Copyrights in the Digital Age."

With years of experience in trademark and copyright prosecution, Andréa has helped artists and small businesses protect their brands and creative works. She understands that branding is critical to success and is committed to safeguarding her clients' intellectual property rights both domestically and internationally.
Andréa is also a proud participant in the Texas Opportunity & Justice Incubator (TOJI), an initiative that empowers attorneys to provide affordable legal services to underserved communities. Her involvement in TOJI reflects her deep commitment to giving back and ensuring equal access to justice for all.

Andréa is actively admitted to the New York, Texas, and Utah State and Federal Bar, and continues to expand her admissions across the country. She is passionate about educating her clients on their legal rights and helping them protect the core of their businesses.
